Time & Location
About the Event
Tickets are sold on a pay-what-you-can basis with a suggested price of $20, meaning that each ticket tier is given the same benefits to make the workshop as financially accessible as possible while still supporting the artist/workshop facilitator.
If cost is a barrier, please contact KJ at firstname.lastname@example.org and your ticket and colouring booklet download will be provided to you for free, no questions asked.
Community care and connection have always been important to our survival, but never more so than right now during the Covid-19 pandemic. Whether we're physically isolating alone or with another/others, art is an incredible way to care for ourselves and connect with each other - and the virus can't stop us from doing so.
Join the 'Colouring for Community Care' workshop, where we will be hanging out virtually as new friends and old, to discuss positive forms of self-love and community care while creating art together. No artistic experience required, you'll just need a printer and some colouring supplies!
Lucky Little Queer (KJ Forman, BSW) will be guiding the group through a community conversation about caring for ourselves and one another during Covid-19. Participants will be given a downloadable package of affirmation colouring pages and are encouraged to print and colour them together during the workshop.
KJ (they/them) has completed a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Carleton University (2019) and has experience facilitating in-person workshops on self-care and visual art. This is their first virtual workshop, so they are excited to share this new adventure with you!
